BioA mini-bio, huh? OK. I grew up in a small town in western NY, lived in Houston, Tx for a couple of years, and on Long Island for about 20. I'm now living in the Hudson Valley in upstate NY. I'm a critical care RN. I worked for over 20 years in ICU/CCU, and now I'm charge nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (recovery room) of the busiest Level II trauma center in NY.

gemini1681 and i_throw_cutlery) and I'm divorced after 20 years of marriage. My ex reached mid-life and decided to self-destruct.. almost taking us with him. But we survived. Now I'm facing another challenge. I contracted Hepatitis C at work, and have just started chemotherapy for it. That's mainly the reason I started this journal. I've been reading various LJ's for quite a while, but never bothered to make one for myself. Now I figure I'll use it to track the progress of my disease and treatment. I can't promise that I'll write much, or depending on how evil the chemo is, be *able* to write much. But we'll see how it goes...
